Premature ejaculation is when the male cannot delay his orgasm. He repeatedly climaxes before sexual intercourse can be started, or before his partner is satisfied. There is a set of premature ejaculation exercises he can use to learn to control the pelvic muscle, which will help him overcome this lack of control.

This is different from erectile dysfunction, which is the inability to attain an erection. It occurs after the man is erect, but before he can make a vaginal penetration. His climax occurs and his wife or girlfriend is left unsatisfied. This makes him feel incompetent in bed.

Fortunately, the problem can be overcome. There are exercises that a man can do to train himself and to strengthen the muscles that support the urethra, rectum and bladder. These muscles are involved in the arousal and the orgasm. The Kegel exercises were originally created by Dr. Arnold Kegel in 1948. They were intended to help women with bladder control problems.

The pubococcygeus, or PC muscle is responsible for forcing the semen from the prostrate gland thereby facilitating orgasm. If this muscle is made stronger, it improves the ability to maintain an erection and avoid early orgasm. These exercises take effect after approximately two to four months. Staying power will be greatly improved.

The time required to do these is minimal. Just five to eight minutes two times per day is sufficient. Your sexual pleasure will escalate and so will that of your partner. These are safe and easy. You can do them anywhere since no one will be able to detect that any exercising is taking place.

Locating the PC muscle can be the most difficult part. When you squeeze it, you will feel the same sensation as if the urine stream were being halted. You then squeeze that muscle, hold the squeeze for three seconds and release it. Next you relax for ten seconds. Then repeat the process. Start by doing two repetitions and work your way up to fifteen. This is done two times per day.

The next Kegel exercise is the same except for the duration of the squeeze. Squeeze the PC muscle, hold for ten seconds and relax for ten seconds. Do this longer version twice a day following the shorter version.

Another way to control premature ejaculation involves masturbation. Start to masturbate and right before you feel ready to orgasm, stop. Relax completely taking as much time as you need to calm your excitement. Then arouse yourself to the point of orgasm again. Then stop and relax again. Repeat this process until you are able to control your orgasms.

It will take some time, but you can develop your ability to delay orgasm by practicing premature ejaculation exercises. In addition to the Kegel regimen and the masturbation procedure, you can use visualization. While you are actually having intercourse with your partner, as you feel close to orgasm, force yourself to think about a non sexual event. This is intended to calm your excitement. Do this several times to allow your partner to reach orgasm either before you or with you. One, or a combination of these methods will allow you to not only enjoy sex more, but give your partner more pleasure.
